ARTIST'S STATEMENT. "CUT AND DRY"

Before I start a painting, I usually have a small flash of an idea in my head. I may make a rough drawing of the idea in a sketchbook, then that idea is painted directly onto the canvas with a brush. What follows is a series of adjustments according to space and color intuition.

Creating the painting most times is like unearthing a message. I have a perception of how the painting may look upon completion. The finished product almost always has more supernatural essence than the original thought.

The process of creating the painting is spiritual in nature. I take great joy sharing the end result which can touch viewers each in a unique way.
